Now that you have a free website,
here's some ideas on what to do with it....
How to design your own website
Find something you like to do or will enjoy doing. If you do
not like what you are doing, then you can not put your heart into it.
Things to avoid:
Large file size pictures - when pictures
are too slow to load, people will close your site and go on to the next
one.
Music - sometimes people look at sites while
on break at work. To have music may draw attention to them, may cause
problems at work.
Dark Backgrounds - with dark backgrounds
and light fonts is sometimes hard on the eyes.
My favorite programs to use to make sites:
Photoshop 6.0
- it optimizes pictures for web use (makes them a lot smaller).
Dreamweaver
- great wysiwyg editor.
